Vendzi

For home & mobile services

Bookings, job records and payment — from the van.

Work that happens at the customer’s address still needs a calendar, a record of what was done, and a way to be paid before the next job. Vendzi runs all three from a phone.

The daily friction

What actually goes wrong running home and mobile services

  1. The diary is a phone

Bookings agreed by call, written nowhere, and renegotiated when two customers want the same morning.

  2. What was done last time is a memory

The boiler model, the part replaced, the gate code — held by whoever did the job, not by the record.

  3. Invoicing is a separate evening

The work is finished, the payment is not, and chasing it becomes a second job.

  4. Quotes with nothing behind them

A price agreed on the doorstep and no record of what it covered when the customer queries it.

How Vendzi handles it

The same problems, solved on one system

Everything below is in the product today — not a roadmap item.

A booking page for jobs

Per-service durations and prices, availability from your real hours, and a slot claimed atomically so a morning cannot be sold twice.

One client record per customer

Appointments, orders and payment history on one timeline, with notes for the details that matter on the next visit.

Paid on site or by link

Card, cash, pay in store or a payment link sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp — all recorded against the same order.

Run it from a phone

The whole back office is responsive web on a phone or tablet. Nothing to install, and no laptop needed to close a job.

Reminders before the visit

Automatic reminders go out ahead of the appointment, and no-shows are recorded against the client rather than forgotten.

A site that says what you cover

Service pages generated from your service menu, on your own domain, with the structured data a local search result needs.

A day on Vendzi

From first click to second visit

One record follows the client from the ad to the rebooking — nothing is retyped, nothing lives in a DM thread.

  1. Morning

    Booked in one click

The client picks a real opening with the practitioner they want. The slot is claimed atomically, so it cannot be sold twice.

  2. Midday

    Protected where it counts

A deposit guards the long, high-value sessions. The short ones stay frictionless — deposits are set per service.

  3. Before

    Reminded, not chased

Automatic reminders go out before the appointment, so the forgotten visit is the exception rather than the pattern.

  4. During

    Noted for next time

History, notes and preferences land on one client record, with role-based access deciding who can read what.

  5. After

    Rung up and rebooked

Services and retail go on one ticket at the counter, the payment is recorded against the client, and the next visit is booked.

The parts you will live in

The parts of the platform home services use most

Same subscription underneath. These are the rooms you will spend the day in.

Real availability, not a request form

Booking & calendar

Clients see the slots your staff can actually work, and a slot is claimed atomically — two people cannot book the same chair.

  • Availability derived from each staff member’s hours and time off
  • Per-service duration, so a colour appointment is not a haircut slot
  • Deposits at booking for the services you want protected
  • No-show tracking against the client record

Every visit, attached to a person

Client records

Appointments, orders and payment history land on one client timeline, so you know who is returning and what they had last time.

  • One record per client, shared across bookings and shop orders
  • Visit and spend history
  • Free-text notes for formula, preferences and allergies
  • Search and filter by name, phone or email

Your account, your money

Payments

Connect the payment provider you already use. Money settles to you; the platform never holds it.

  • Per-shop provider connections with credentials stored server-side
  • Card payments and PayPal, connected through each provider’s own onboarding
  • Payment links sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp
  • Amounts are authoritative on the server — the browser cannot set a price

The part you only notice when it is missing

Built for real operations

The engineering underneath, which is what makes a shop survive a busy Saturday and a compliance question.

  • Per-shop data isolation enforced in the database, not the app layer
  • Several locations under one account, each with its own hours
  • Role-based staff access
  • Audit trail on administrative changes

Questions

Questions we get from home and mobile services

If yours is not here, ask when you sign up — you will get a person.

Can I schedule work at a customer’s address?

The appointment carries the time, the staff member and the service. There is no route planning or travel-time buffer — the calendar models the slot you block, not the drive between jobs.

Can I take a deposit before a callout?

Yes. A deposit can be set per service and taken at booking, through your own payment provider.

Does it work without a shopfront?

Yes. There is no requirement to publish a storefront or a product catalogue — a booking page, a client record and payments are enough to run the business.
