Vendzi

Migration

Bring your book. Keep your domain.

There is no automated importer — we will not pretend otherwise. The real path is concierge-assisted setup: you export your client list, services and products from your current system, and the Vendzi team sets the shop up with you. Your existing domain stays yours, with old addresses kept as aliases.

Your current system

Where you are coming from matters less than you think

The four systems below cover most of the shops we talk to. The exports are the same shape everywhere: who your clients are, what you sell, and what it costs.

Moving from

Fresha

Salons and barbers moving off Fresha usually bring a client list and a service menu — the two things that make the first week on a new system feel like home.

What transfers

  • Client list — name, phone, email
  • Service menu with durations and prices
  • Product catalog with prices

What to export

  • Your client list (Fresha exports this as a spreadsheet)
  • Your service menu and price list
  • Your retail product list, if you sell products

Moving from

Square

Square shops tend to arrive with a catalog and a client book already in good shape — Square is generous with exports, which makes the move straightforward.

What transfers

  • Client list — name, phone, email
  • Services or items with prices
  • Product catalog with variants

What to export

  • Your customer directory export
  • Your items and variations export
  • Any categories you want to keep for retail

Moving from

Wix

If your current site is on Wix, the move is mostly content and domain: your pages come across into the block editor, and the domain you rank on keeps working throughout.

What transfers

  • Page content, rebuilt in the block editor
  • Product catalog with prices
  • Your domain, with old URLs as aliases

What to export

  • Your product catalog export
  • Copies of the page copy and images you want to keep
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings

Moving from

Shopify

Shops that sell products first come from Shopify with a serious catalog. The catalog, variants and stock move; the storefront, checkout and payments run on Vendzi from day one.

What transfers

  • Product catalog with variants and stock
  • Client list from customer export
  • Your domain, with old product URLs as aliases

What to export

  • Your products CSV export
  • Your customers CSV export
  • Access to your domain's DNS settings

The process

Four steps, done with you

No step here is a form you fill in alone — setup is assisted, and nothing on your old system needs to be switched off until the new shop is running the way you want.

  1. Export from your current system

Pull your client list, service menu and product catalog — most systems export these as spreadsheets. Don’t clean them up; raw exports are fine.

  2. We set the shop up with you

This is concierge-assisted, not an automated import: the Vendzi team builds your services, staff, hours and catalog with you, and your client records are created as part of setup.

  3. Point your domain at the shop

Your existing domain keeps working — point it at your Vendzi shop and add old addresses as aliases, so links, bookmarks and search results keep resolving.

  4. Switch over when you’re ready

Open the booking page and the counter on a quiet day, run both systems side by side if you want, and retire the old one when the calendar looks right.

Straight answers

Migration questions

The things worth knowing before you commit to a move — answered the way we would want them answered.

Is there an automated importer?

No — and we would rather say so than ship a half-working one. There is no Fresha, Square, Wix or Shopify importer in the product today. Setup is concierge-assisted: you export your data, and our team sets the shop up with you.

Can I keep my existing domain?

Yes. Point the domain you already own at your Vendzi shop, and add any old addresses as aliases so existing links and search results keep resolving. Moving to Vendzi does not force a new URL.

Does my clients’ payment history come across?

No. Your payment history lives with the providers that processed it — it does not transfer, and we will not claim otherwise. What comes across is your client list with contact details, so records start with the people and rebuild history from their first visit on Vendzi.

How long does a migration take?

It depends on the size of your book — a small studio’s list moves in one setup session, and a larger shop is done over a few of them. We do it with you, at your pace, before you switch anything off.
